Taking Time To Heal

I’m taking time out to heal
From rips so deep
I’m left wasted, so it seems
Could use some stitching where I’m torn
Don’t mind the scars that it will leave
Just patch me up I want to heal
This heart’s not made of steel
I feel it bleeding out it’s soul
And, soon it may turn cold
I don’t want to turn cold
So I’m taking time out to heal
So I’m no longer bleeding at the seam

Buckle Up

Buckle up
It’s going down
I’m shutting out the noise
I got a date with my inner voice
It’s been calling me for quite some time
So I must attend to it on the double
Or there will be trouble
I’ve been shutting it down
And putting it off
So now I’m about to lose it
