Is it the Stars or the Moon
Or the Sun we hope shine soon
What’s this uneasiness with the night
That cause our fears to balloon
So confused and convinced
That the dark is to be feared
We close our eyes to it’s brilliance
Perturbed by the strength in it’s stillness
That we stay blind to it’s depth
Praying for a light
We’re ashamed to see in the dark
This is a lovely short poem. With so many living in cities I wonder how many have that lovely experience of going into the countryside on a clear night and realizing that, as eyes become adapted, you really can see in the dark under the stars 🙂

Thank you David. That’s very true, we can see in the night under the light of the stars 🙂
