He Doesn’t Know

He doesn’t know
I know he’s scared
He doesn’t know
There’s no need to fear
He doesn’t know
How much I care
He doesn’t know
No other compare
He doesn’t know much
But heartache and pain
His eyes are blurred
By grief and shame
So he can’t see me
Through the haze
To know my heart
Is kind and true

  1. You could read this in at least two ways. This could be read as a partner who has difficulty in relating, the nervousness and not realizing how much you want to hear him, then if you take those last lines you could relate it to a loss that has blurred vision (grief) or even to an action hat one is afraid of talking about (shame). I actually like that because allowing the reader to interpret an image is much more interesting when a good image has been created πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
